Then an idea hit me the other day; why not adopt another puppy... a play mate and companion for Mi Nam?!
What do you think... honestly?
Today I met this little wrinkly boy and he's awesome. He's 2 months old, has super short fur so shedding is definitely not an issue, and he doesn't bark so noise isn't a problem.
Honestly, what do you think I should do? I have the time, effort and money to bring in another "baby" and I'd love to have another one but do you think it's the right decision???
Any advice would be MUCH appreciated, thanks.

Yes, Amy I think you should add that little cutie to your family. Cute dog and it would cheer up the other little guy. I love to read your blog. I have to spend some time on mine for real. Hehheh.

Hi, you don't know me but I found your blog via Andy. Anyway, I think that dog is BEYOND adorable. However, reading a bit about how Mi Nam is afraid of other dogs I would be worried about how he would react. Like would he be scared of or threatened by this dog? Would they fight or would this dog bully Mi Nam? My family has a dog who sounded a bit like Mi Nam with his personality and my sister brought in another dog and our original dog has been terrorized by the new one. It makes me so sad that the new dog just bullies and bosses around my dog. (T T) Since you've had Mi Nam solo for so long he's used to being the man of the house so I would be cautious about bringing another dog in.
But I'm just a stranger and that's just my two cents. Plus, oh wow, I think I want that new dog for myself. ;-) Good luck with your decision!
Keep it simple, stupid!
I'm only partly kidding. But your life seems complicated enough, and as with kids, going from one to two is a big difference. I'm assuming you'd take Mi Nam with you wherever you went, even if you moved back to Canada tomorrow--will it be the same with this dog? if not, I'd reconsider getting him. just my opinion.
Hay Amy,cant it not explain like it have to be ,so in chort,it's like ambearo say,he is the man in hous ,it is HIS teritorium, you are from him ,bringing in another dog now, it's gone be fichting .I hat the same problem,i hat 3 dogs. When you get them the same time, and you have luck ,the met .But now !..NO GOOD for mi nam.
Hi Amy, been lurking for a while...
Is Mi Nam fixed? If not, I wouldn't bring another boy dog into the house. Actually, I probably wouldn't bring another boy dog in the house, period.
I have a male Pomeranian and he HATES HATES HATES unneutered male dogs but he doesn't have much love for fixed ones either. Drives him crazy. At the same time, he's stayed with my friend's female Pom and she keeps him in check! For the past month or so I've been keeping a friend's toy fox terrier and she quickly became alpha too. (He's obviously whipped.)
If you want to get Mi Nam a friend, instead of support puppy breeders, you could foster a dog through a rescue. (The folks at Animal Rescue Korea are really nice and they're working with a rescue in Daejeon that REALLY needs people to adopt their dogs before they get sent to a kill shelter at the end of the month.)
Also, that bulldog might be cute but he's also gonna be at least 50 pounds! Mi Nam might not like that very much...
