1. BINGO!!! Got my new passport today... sweeeeeeeeat! Mind ya, now I don't know if I really want it now. I guess I was kind of hoping I'd have to prolong my trip. You should see the picture in it.. ouch! You can totally see the frustration in my face, not to mention tear lines on my cheeks. Brutal.
2. Visited the Korean Embassy, again. Still no real answers and so I'll be having to go to Japan to get my work visa. On the bright side of things though, my friend Yong will be in Japan the same time I will be and so maybe I'll be able to meet up with him there, cool.
3. Caught up with Colin for an evening of remanising and good times with Colin. I remember the first time I met him... I was lost on campus when I saw him washing dishes for a local pub. He helped me out and we've been friends ever since but it's definitely interesting to note all the changes, experiences, and growth we've both encountered.
4. For dinner I was totally spoiled by Colin. He had made a wickedly delicious stew the night before and so it was so thick I ate it with a fork! It was quite the dangerous meal though cause after I felt like I was in a state of comatose for about two hours. I was stuffed!
5. Checked out Lot 332 with Colin.. it was quite beautiful inside and definitely had a good grove going on. Colin's student is one of two DJs there and so he got us on the quest list. Colin was all pumped about the new technology he was using, I was loving the old school funky beats.
6. What's up with Shooter McAdam?! Wow! Some dudes just scream "desparate"!!! I was especially humored by the dude that pretended to shot me and then his buddy who tried to protect me by wrapping me in his nasty smelling fake leather jacket. See, and they wonder why they can't get women... that's what separates the boys from the men. Us women don't go for that stuff!!!
7. And what's up with these guys who, after a minute conversation (which can hardly be even considered a conversation) all of a sudden act like they have dibs on you?! I thought I was being poliete but me being poliete got me stalked in the club by this one guy who clearly couldn't read my body language when he continually hunted me down and then put his arm around my shoulders.
8. My favorite dancing partner showed up and, omg, so did that Chris guy from two Tuesdays ago! I thought it rather ironic and had a good laugh to think that the day I originally I was hanging out with Chris but ditched him for Kobe and yet, here we all are again, together. I know he was quite shocked to see me there with Kobe. I was more shocked that he was shocked... I'm not that kind of girl thanks.
9. Bonus points to Kobe for totally getting in there and trying to hook Colin up. If only those girls would be so lucky to win Colin's attention. He's quite the package... very intelligent, handsome, stylish, very fit, a wicked cook, funny, cultured, and not to mention he's been studying Kung Fu for about 8 years.
10. Ended the night with a early, early breakfast at some random restuarant. I ordered scrambled eggs, toast and sausages... keep your hands off my sausages there Wild Child!!!
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What's up with rock and roll?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Keep your hands off my sausage.
-- Me
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
