As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Friday, May 28

Lots of news for today:

Yesterday marked my last tutoring session with Peanut Butter and Jelly, and then today marked my last tutoring session with Twinkle Toes. Peanut Butter and Jelly are off to the States for their big two year move and Twinkle Toes will be returning to her home town soon for her university vacation.

Another member joined my early morning language group.

My hair is no longer freakishly grayish-blue.

Looks like I’ll be taking a little trip to The Philippines!!! It’s still not officially stamped and agreed upon but word has it July 7 Snickers may be getting his much anticipated for fight but it’ll be in The Philippines… awesome.

Little Miss has been MIA at boxing for a couple of days. We think she ran away again.

My Samsung internet commercial shooting scheduled for next week got postponed a month.


The city is building a new playground at the park across the street from our house. We’re totally stoked about that! I think they may even be putting in not one but two large winding slides… cool.

Tomorrow Snickers and I will be going on a two-day filming shot with Arirang TV, so we’ll be going on a two-day cruise with a camera crew. I’ve had my share of camera action so I not too thrilled about having my every movement monitored and filmed but I can’t complain. We scored a two-day all expenses paid cruise and I’m sure it’s going to be awesome.
