As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Punch-Packing Ladies... Sunday, January 8

My boxercise classes continue. I’m having a lot of fun with them and I’ve met some really great gals from it. There’s one particular girl whom I’ve bumped up to my advanced class. She reminds me so much of Homegirl – the way she talks, the way she laughs, her mannerisms and even her facial expressions. It’s so wild. She’s like a spinning rendition of Homegirl. The fact that she’s pretty hilarious to talk to and trains hard though is why she’s on my “cool list”, though I must say she’s the one who really has put into effect my name as a new swear word at boxercise… hahaha.

Anyways…

Both my beginners and advanced students are loving throwing punches at the sand bags and yesterday one of my beginners shocked the socks off me with her hardcore, heavy punches she threw at the one sand bag. Yikes… that sand bag took a beating and the bar holding the bag up rang and it shock like nothing I’ve ever seen a women do before. It was intense; it was awesome!!!
