As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Mission Completed, Maybe... Thursday, March 8

With Big Foot off at a temple stay, Snickers off at work and me off for the day, I had a quiet day in with Balboa and Pyen Chi. Those two little four-legged friends are just so much fun!

Pyen Chi's boredom is pretty much cured on account that she gets pretty exhausted watching Balboa all the time. She still gets into a bit of trouble when we're out of the house though, of which I should note that her eating my beautiful leather boots (the boots that replaced the other boots she ate) was the sour point of my week.

Originally we thought the two of them would definitely need time to adjust to each other but honestly they're very comfortable together. Pyen Chi doesn't like it when I touch her tail but she'll let Balboa get all cozy and sleep in it. Balboa nips at Pyen Chi's nose all the time but Pyen Chi seems very tolerant of this.

Balboa will never be to me what Mi Nam was, nor will Pyen Chi for that matter, but it's not about comparing them or sizing them up to him. They're all different but they're all definitely awesome.

I'm convinced that everyone should have a dog -- a four-legged friend.
