I'm working it... working the stiletto heels and working another job.
I'm still very much into running Flipside Fitness -- boxercise and personal training -- but with talk of Canada and travel very hot on my lips I figured a steady flow of cash is key. Having said this, I'm now working at a university out in Suwon three days a week. It's supposed to be a four day job and it's full hours but as luck would have it my classes got shifted and now I only work 12 hours in a three day work week. Can't complain there!
It's very weird having to put on make-up and slip into a skirt for work though. I guess it'll take some time before I'm accustomed to it. It's been a little over two years since I've really had a teaching job that was required me to dress professional and abide to a set schedule.
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
