As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

What's Next?!... Friday, May 4

Results were officially publicized the other day for the Cheonan Sangluk Resort Races -- 5km, 10km and half -- so I was all over it like white on rice.  Looking up the results of my fabulous females, checking for photos and taking note of key stats.

Snickers gave a good long "ohhhhh..." when I noted the difference between my time as second place and that of the first place runner in my age category.  I wasn't all about the "ohhh" though when I initially saw the results. Two seconds, that was the difference, so three seconds faster and I would have been first.

I blame it on her sports bra.

I was quite surprised at just how fierce many of the Korean women running the half marathon were -- quite impressed actually.  Many of them were ripped, sporting crazy abs and sports bras that showed off their finely-tuned bods.  Perhaps running in only their shorts and sports bras made them more aerodynamic.  Yes, that must be it.

I'm going to run naked next time, then I'll be sure aerodynamic... hahaha.

I'm thinking about signing up for another run.  I was thinking of either taking on a full marathon or doing a 5km or 10km to see how fast I can run in.  I'm no sprinter though so I much rather do distance than speed.

I'd love it if there were midnight or late night races.  I don't usually run when the sun is up so running on race day during the midday sun when it's at it's hottest is definitely a challenge for me.  Now schedule a midnight marathon and I'd be the first one to sign up even though I've never ever done a full marathon.
