and 9 Kakao Talk messages, I’ve got a lot
of catching up to do!!!
I’m nursing two extremely sore heels, a leg
wound that just doesn’t seem to stay closed, and a very unsteady level self control that
continues to be tested, and every day since the ceiling incident I’ve been
mumbling “don’t make me angry” as an attempt of making light of the situation.
“You look like you’re going to Hulk out”,
Snickers noted the other day and he couldn’t be more right, but it’s all
good. What doesn’t break you makes you
stronger, right?! Right. I honestly
couldn’t be more focused and more driven towards the success of our boxing club
as I currently am right this second. The
situation that escalated this week has only served to add fuel to my fire, my
passion, and I feel unstoppable now.
On account that I really can’t stand on my
feet for too long without them throbbing, any plans for the next couple of days
that involve any kind of walking around have been canceled. I pulled a rather dumb move yesterday -- I went running. With my half marathon coming up, I'm already behind in my training so I didn't want to get more behind.
Last night I bandaged the heck out of my leg and clocked in 11km but returned
home almost in tears because of my throbbing heels. Snickers must have massaged them for over 30 minutes but even after that I still was left limping around the house. Smooth move there, I thought to myself.
So much for staying in and nursing my
injuries though. 4Man-C showed up and decided to not leave until I went out with him
and the boys. He showed up late afternoon
but we didn’t head out together till around midnight. He
knew I wouldn’t say no to him; so damn hard to say no to such a pretty, pretty
guy. Snickers is quite alright with me
calling his friends – our friends – good-looking and he’s convinced I haven’t
introduced any of my friends to 4Man-C because I don’t want to “share his
prettiness”, as he says. Perhaps that’s
true. Anyways, we ended up meeting up
with Sam-Sam, Mouse Doctor, and Guy Smiley.
After a late night meet-up, 4Man-C,
Snickers and I headed back to our neighborhood where we then headed out to a
local bar for some kind of fish soup.
Ended up giving a bit of an English anatomy lesson to 4Man-C who clearly
proved to be definitely Korean when he called his bum his hip. Not quite sure why Koreans always seem to
mistake this body part but it was definitely hilarious explaining it to him. Ended up teaching him the words “bum” and “boobs”...
hahaha. Teaching my buddies English
sometimes is so comic but so cute.
4Man-C, sitting there in his overly expensive suit, trying to properly
say the word “boob” left me in tears. The
fact that he didn’t quite understand using the word in plural form just added
to the entertainment value of this comical conversation. This whole hilarious conversation came about
when 4Man-C asked me what foreign girls first look at on a man’s body, though I’m
not too sure how “boob” came into play.
I can’t vouch for all foreign women but I know when it comes to a guy’s
body (face not included here), I first look at a guy’s bum, then legs, and then
arms. Most Korean guys don’t really have
bums; they’re kind of inverted looking and lacking. As for legs, that’s because so many guys ignore
training their legs and go for the chest and arms.
Leave it to Snickers to jump in and comment
about his “duck bum” and how I used to take pictures of his legs before I even
knew him. Yes, it’s true, I totally did
that. One of his friend’s takes secret
pictures of me too though, well, he’s secret about taking them but very open
about sharing them apparently. A bit of
an uncomfortable situation, me sitting there, flipping through a friend’s phone
and noticing they actually had taken a video of me earlier on tonight. Snickers thought nothing of it, perhaps I
shouldn’t, but I still this it’s a bit weird.
It’s now coming up to 4am and I don’t think
I’ll be going to bed anytime soon.
Snickers and 4Man-C just stepped out of the house to go play pool. 4Man-C is sleeping over tonight and he’s
taking me to his soccer practice – it’s at 7am, yikes. I told him I’d go if he bought me coffee – a cappuccino
with an extra shot, from Angels In Us. I
should have known better than to say that though because even though the Angel
In Us downtown doesn’t open up till 9 or 10am, Snickers and his boys always
seem to amaze me with their mad connections.
I have a feeling I’ll be getting that coffee in the morning, which means
in about three hours I’ll be going to soccer.
