As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

I'm sure my mother never in a million years ever imagined I'd be sitting here -- on the other side of the world with her friend whom she sits by at church in Canada.
My mom has talked to me about this lady but it wasn't until today that I met her.  Snickers and I drove out to Daejon to meet her and I can't really explain how it felt -- it was "heart-pulling".
My dad always used to tell me that I "smile too big" and my friends always said I looked part Asian because my eyes seem to disappear when I laugh or smile.  Snickers caught this shot of me today, after meeting my mom's friend.  He said I looked so happy but so Asian, sitting there talking about my mother.
