Day one of gutting out the boxing club space and everyone was quick to jump into work.
I thought it funny to tease this worker carrying the shovel of dirt, he had to scoop up all the human poop. Turns out he thought it funny to let me tease him because later did I find out that though he may be the one scooping it, I'll be the one scrubbing it -- scrubbing as in cleaning the floors!!!
We clearly had our work cut out for us and let me tell you, there was an insane amount of cleaning to do!!!
I thought I'd help out and get some stress out too by taking on the responsibility of breaking all the excessive mirrors. Upon finding out they were glued onto the frames and thus not reusable, we then had to brake them. Turns out breaking them was easier said than done. Handed over that job to Snickers.
Ended up being the "wall scrapper girl" for the day -- scrapping off anything and everything off the walls, like poster tape, glued signs, lettering, etc. I may be smiling in this pic but trust me, tape up a poster on my wall and I'll wrap you up in it and bury you in it too! Nothing is fun about freezing your butt off doing such a job.
I finally got around to exploring the rest of the building and only because Snickers helped me up those scary, railing-less stairs. A massive rooftop greeted us, "hello... do I hear rooftop parties?!" I joked. It'd be nice to use this but must admit it's quite the adventure to get up there, and dangerous too. Something would definitely have to be done about the sketchy stairwells!
After a hard day of work, business was still on the table, thankfully though it was joined by some food.
Finding out WOW Motors, our main sponsor, ownes an amazing restaurant.... priceless!
Finding out it serves strange and deranged food like chicken feet and intestine soup.... a price I don't care to pay or test my stomach on either!
Thankfully they do have other dishes. My favourite was the smoked salmon and the rice wrapped in the lotus leaf -- both super delish and extremely delish considering our hardcore day of work.
