As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Last year I came in 2nd in my age group, 11th out of the women.

This year, my goal was to shave 4 minutes off my time in hope that this would secure me the 1st place position within my age group.

Unfortunately and much to my disappointment, I ended up ADDING 4 minutes to my time.  I didn't score my much aimed for 1st place standing in my group but I found out that I did score 3rd place.
I'm happy to note too that the difference between my overall 9th standing and 8th and 7th place is about a minute.  Am pretty stoked about that.
I had put it on my bucketlist this year to beat last year's half marathon time and I'm thinking that perhaps this half marathon out in Ansan in September is where and when I'm going to do it.
Yesterday the President (my short form for the WOW Motors President until I can come up with an appropriate nickname) and I talked to great length about a new game plan for training and then today he came by Hulk's to discuss me taking on another half marathon.
I'd like to take one in two months but with it being summer, the crazy hot Korean summer will either fry me on the course or it's monsoon summer rain may wash me away.  I think September is the best option.
