As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Finding Focus... Wednesday, July 31

Despite already being so pro-clean eating and very pro-hard training, I find I'm still in need of a goal... goals actually.  I don't have any boxing bout lined up nor do I have a running race or even sparring for that matter.  I feel like I am very much just training my members and that my own personal training has taken a back seat or is sometimes not even in focus.  I still do my own training, don't get me wrong, but I definitely exert a lot of the energy I would be using for my own training in the training of my members.

It's down to get down to busy though, with my own training that is so I sat down and tried to map out the upcoming month.  I assigned myself mini focus/goals for each day of the month and even made monthly and weekly goals.  They're still rather vague but I'll fine tune them in the next day or so.  For now, however, this is what I've come up with.
The point of me doing this wasn't to really get any grand goals accomplished but to give myself a more clearer focus on myself.  These days my training really revolves around my members so I really need to find a balance between focusing on their training and mine.
