As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

This is What Happens...

This is what happens when you order a simple one-person meal from a restaurant that one of your friends owns -- they end up sending over an insane amount that could feed a small country.
This is also what happens when such free food overload isn't deemed "real food" -- Snickers ended up being the only one eating this fried meat because I eat clean and my members know better than to eat this stuff in front of me.
This is what happens when you tell a member to train outside of his comfort zone -- he spars for his second time ever and loves it!!!
This is what happens when you do what you love -- you make others fall in love with it too and it becomes super fun for everyone.
This is what happens when others fall in love with your boxing club -- they won't leave, hahahaha.

This is what happens when your business partner is also your husband and best friend -- there's no such thing as sexual harassment on the job, PDA becomes a part of the job and things get silly.
