As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Sweet Struggle to the Top

Heading out for some mountainside running and boy what a run that was!!!
Mission gazebo.  This was what stood at my halfway point.
The view from up here is amazing but this place holds a very special place in my heart.
I've brought my Flipside Fitness girls up here a few times, have brought all my four-legged friends here, and rested here after training with my boxing teammates, but it was my former coach Junior Mint who first introduced this place to me.  It's been one of my favourite ever since.
Today's mountain run was a short run, only 5.49kms but check out the pacing... 6:45min/km, ouch.  Can't say I was slacking though because it was a rough-rough run -- check out the climbs.
The gazebo was right at the top of the climb, the peak, and it couldn't have been placed at a better spot because by the time I got there my calves were absolutely on fire!
