As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

At the Races

Headed over to Independence Hall for the half marathon today.
And with my fabulous crew, and even the most butt-kicking cheer sign too I must note, we were super pumped and ready for the races.
There were only three of us running as Team Flipside from Hulk's, one cancelled, but despite our small team size we surely made up for it in fierceness!!!
And talking about fierceness, check out all the Korean ajjumas who scooped up the winning spots!
Definitely makes you rethink who is pushing in line at the grocery store, she may very well be one of these prize-winning super hardcore runners!!!
It was a hard course, word has it runners should expect to add up to ten minutes to their run because of it.  None the less, we kicked butt and kicked our own personal goals in the butt too.
And what goes hand-in-hand with training hard?!  Eating clean, that's exactly right.
After the races we then headed out for a lean, mean, clean dish of raw beef bibimbap.
