As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

From Pure Frustrations to Relief

Despite WOW being all happy and amused at the sight of the "Boxing Baby", I was not.  My sister-in-law keeps on bringing her baby to the club and tonight she brought the twins too.  I want this to stop.  I know he's my nephew and I know everyone thinks he's cute but I also know a boxing club is not an appropriate place to bring a baby.  He's distracting, disrupting and him being there is dangerous.  I thought our grand opening party when a baby fell off the ring and had to be rushed to the hospital to get stitches made this very clear.  Apparently not.
I told Snickers to tell her or risk me posting up one of the following overly sarcastic signs because I've had enough.

We are a boxing club, NOT a daycare.
Children left unattended will be placed in the dog's corridor.

No sooner had my blood pressure reached an all time high with the baby but then I got a most unexpected but much needed sight of relief -- one of my boxing buddies from Beat Boxing came bearing cookies and coffee.  Venting to my friend while sipping on a cappuccino with an extra shot was perfect.
...as was throwing a watermelon party for our Hulkies after Boxing Baby left.
Coffee and my Hulkies always make everything sunshine and peachy sweet.
