As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Working Up a Sweat and Pumping Out MORE Signs

Was totally caught here in the zone, gearing up for boxing.  Notice the crazy hair pigtails and the winter second skin, long sleeve shirt I'm wearing -- I'm here to train, ready to sweat and I don't care what I look like.
Of course, it helps that my butt-kickin' selection of Adidas footwear is as helpful to my training as it is cleaning up my scruffy training appearance... hahaha.
And speaking of shoes, we STILL have a problem with the excess of shoes and all the new members who continually ignore my sign and put their shoes here.  Tonight I took my sign a step further and taped a whack of them together and put them right on top of all the shoes.
As for signs, another sign got posted as we did experimental repair on one of our sandbags.
I should note here though that if it were me, I'd probably punch this sandbag extra hard just because.
The sign is almost egging me on to do so.
Today we officially launched a new club rule -- cellphone free zone.
While some members use their cellphones for timers or stop watches, we've been experiencing an increase in cellphone usage on the training floor.  Today we decided to put an end to this.
I find it to be both rude to us as coaches trying to train individual members and rude to other members who really don't care to hear the drama between you and your girlfriend or what you're eating later for dinner.
