As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Definitely no "Sat" or sitting on My Saturdays

Rocket and I out in beautiful Asan.
It was a stunning fall day, a perfect day for running and a perfect day for setting a new PR.
The plan was to run 15kms and keep it under 5:50mins/km.
Done and so done!!!
I even stopped in the 17th kilometre to snap a picture of the amazing scenery.
(Random comment here... am happily still holding on to my Thailand sun kissed skin via wearing no makeup.
My skin has never felt so clean and fresh!)
After the set 15km point I blazed it and clocked in additional 3km, to make sure I hit my week's goal, and then I returned to these two enjoying the view.  The lake out in Asan, wow, it's definitely my favourite place to run at.  Sorry Dankook lake, but your 2.3km path around the lake simply leaves me feeling like I'm suffering from mad deja vu.
And my reward for hitting my week's goal, this amazingly delish surprise lunch out at my sponsor's restaurant.  It surely beat the protein shake I had anticipated eating.
Next on our things to do list today was flyer promo work downtown.
And while I thought Snickers' cuteness would attract more flyer-takers, turns out a local chicken shop tried to take over the area.  Sorry downtown passer byers, I was just as annoyed about the bombardment of flyers as you were so I hope you appreciated my extra smiles and extra comments.
IT'S BOXING TIME MOTHER-FUDGE-EATERS!!!
Yesterday, candy was the enemy.  More specifically, caramel pumpkin candy was my enemy.  And with a belly aching and belly full of such sugar-spiking evilness, today I had a gruelling boxing session as an attempt to beat it out and work it out of my system.  Die candy... die!!!
It made for a brutal workout today, for a long day of training, but it was good... it was great.
