As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Friends, Fights and Food

Snickers headed out to a Mauy Thai (kickboxing) tournament today, held here in Cheonan, and at it we ran into so many friends, Hulkies, and fans.
And of course, where there's Snickers Wow is soon to follow... hahaha.
(These two have a super cute bromance!!!)
We ran into a little over a dozen friends and so I got passed around from arm to arm... hahaha.
We ended up knowing three of the fighters but it was a friend who had personally
invited us to come cheer us on as he stepped into the ring.
My buddy is currently an amateur fighter but he's looking to go pro and with today's win added to his previous wins, he's got quite the potential to go far.
This is another fighter we cheered on, a former Hulkie of ours.  Check out the artwork on his arms!!!
After the tournament, we headed out to a tucked-away restaurant that is as gorgeous as it is delish.
I brought my own piece of beauty with me... Snickers.
Before dinner, we caught the sun setting and walked around the grounds for a bit.
This is the second time I've been here but the first time I've actually eaten here due to the fact that last time I came they had actually closed so that they could prepare for dinner and I didn't want to wait.
Having now ate and explored the restaurant and its beautiful grounds,
I can confirm that the wait is definitely worth it.
