As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Cold Morning is Heated up with a Special Arrival for All

Waking up to "Big Red" and her blaring red numbers that taunt me with just how cold it is when she's not working was a bit rough.  I knew it was cold but 4 degrees.  Well, that's one degree warmer than it was yesterday morning so I'll take that.
My morning run warmed me quick and the endorphines from my run left me in a super good mood so I went for a little run with Pyen Chi behind the Cheonan subway station.
Note all the wildlife in this small river -- three cute ducks and three beautiful cranes...and Pyen Chi.
Pyen Chi and I returned from our riverside play to a delivery man and all these boxes.
Our shipment from Pakistan had finally arrived!!!
Thanks to the kind of friends of one of my mini Hulkies, I was able to unpack, set up and send word out about our custom gloves in no time.
We've got white gloves with red palms, red gloves and black gloves.

...they're so pretty but boy are these bad a$$ on the sandbag.  Love the tight fit of them!
We also stocked up on handwraps too.
Our pro shop is officially overstocked and I love it.
ot all our handwraps and gloves could fit on our display shelves so we have a box of items behind the juice bar.
The first Hulkie to receive her very own custom Hulk gloves and handwraps.
My mini assistants all geared up for some serious boxing.
I loved the fact that our members love their new gloves and both Snickers and I agreed that the energy in the air today was definitely contagious and definitely brought on by the new gloves.
Members trained extra hard today as proved with this shot.  Check out our Hulkie in the red on the floor.  He trained until he literally couldn't pick his arms up anymore, or his body too for that matter.
