As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Ending the Work With on a Snowy Note

This is how my day started off, being surprised with my very first Christmas card of 2014.
[Hint, hint... if you want to mail me, my postal code is actually 330 020.  I did the mistake of giving it out wrong to a friend but leave it to Cheonan's awesome scooter mailmen to know where to find me regardless.]
And this is how my evening started off, being surprised with the arrival of more snow flurries.  No more flip flops and socks weather, it was boots woolly socks weather.
It's one thing when it snows and I am at work but it's a whole other thing when I have to go outside and join the many others battling the snowing conditions.
My advice for snow flurries in Korea, bring an umbrella.
Snow in Korea tends to be wet so unless you're into defeating the purpose of doing your make-up and hair then I suggest backing on in your bag for days like this.
