A perk of being a pro boxer, no one expects me to look good and I'm kind of expected to always be sweaty, so my nasty smelling, sweat-soaked thermal training suit that I've been wearing for training hasn't been commented on. It clearly smells though and I know so because even I can't stand to smell myself at this point...hahaha. I haven't washed my thermal training suit since last Thursday, which means it still sports the sweat from Saturday's long run and all the sweat from this week's double workouts and intense training. Gross I know, just call me dirty girl, but I need it for training. I have one thermal training suit and washing it is ok, it's waiting for it to dry that is the bugger. Wet clothes simply don't dry in a cold club with proof in point being my towel that took 2 days to dry.
Still no word of it my fight will be cancelled or postponed. I'm still training as if it is on but am eating as if I have more time. I figure if it's on, I'm going to have a hell of a time cutting mad weight in such a short time because I plan on enjoying Christmas with a big, hearty dinner out.
Was definitely in lazy mode today after training and not because I kicked my own butt at training but because we have the next couple of days off so I was in relax mode. We have tomorrow and Thursday off because of Christmas, Friday we are just opening the club from 6pm-11pm for Free Train and then we are closed for the weekend.
An unexpected visitor killed a chunk of my energy at the start of work today, perhaps that's why my extra mellow mood tonight. Mouse Doctor ran into what he thought at first was a wild deer but, as it turned out, it was a random greyhound dog roaming around on the mountainside with no homes or buildings around. He ended up taking this hungry pup to our club and as soon as he walked into Hulk's I was all wide-eyed and smiley. She is absolutely beautiful. I was just about to start my training when she walked in so I guess running around the club with her counted as a legit warm-up. You try racing a greyhound and telling me it's not...hahaha.
With tomorrow us being closed, today we finished off our club Advent calendar. I picked one special lady to recieve the very last gift, a special eye shadow make-up tutorial book that I had bought online. It was great to see the interest many of our Hulkies had with it this year and I felt there was more interest in it this year than last. I had made sure many new Hulkies got a present as well as many of our long standing ones did too. I had really enjoyed preparing the calendar for our members but the excitement and curiosity many had with it made it all worth it.
One of our Hulkies surprised Snickers and I with a special Christmas cake while others wished us Merry Christmas and some hugged us. Originally we were going to go out for dinner tomorrow with some Hulkies and then to church but it was just an idea I had thrown out for others to think about. I liked the idea but nothing really became of it, especially when Snickers said he just wanted to celebrate Christmas Eve with me. He's usually the one who wants to bombard out weekends and holidays with countless friends so it was nice to hear he wanted to make this a private event. I go for that!
One of my mini Hulkies dropped by the club late tonight, around 11pm, with her mom. She hasn't been training lately but had told her mom she missed me so she came to say hi, to say sorry, and to give me a Merry Christmas hug.
