As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

The Biggest of our Mini Hulkies

Tried to sneak some pics of one of our new Hulkies.
His father called us today to talk to us about him because he needs extra care (brain injury) but I didn't really know just who exactly he was talking about until he noted his son is a "big kid".
Standing in at 185cm (6ft 2"), this 99.7kg guy is definitely a big kid and I can only laugh when I call him one of our mini Hulkies.  He's our biggest mini Hulkies yet but is super sweet.  Today I gave him his own pair of custom boxing gloves and taught him how to wrap his hands.
I officially think one of the coolest moments as a coach is seeing the reaction members have when they finish wrapping their hands.  They always look so instantly empowered and unstoppable.
Snickers and I don't have our own kids, neither by blood or adoption, but I argue that why have kids when we've got a club full of wonderful ones already.

Definition of "mini Hulkie": A club member under the age of 16.  I'm their main coach.  We have 15 mini Hulkies.
