As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Time Heals All Wounds and Scar Tissue Makes You Stronger

It was in joining a boxing club here in Korea than my life in Korea really started to begin to take roots.  I no longer was just a foreign ESL teacher but instead I was no a part of something bigger and better.  I was a part of a family, a community.
And in being a part of this whole other family and whole closer community,
I became a totally different person.
And then I met Snickers, and he too helped to shape me into a different person.
We were young, in love, and full of hopes, wishes and dreams.
He inspired me to want to become a better person.
And in wanting to better myself and better my life, Flipside Fitness evolved.
In October of 2011, Flipside Fitness was launched.
I had made my place in Cheonan but still wanted more,
That's when ideas of Hulk's Boxing started forming.  Snickers and I had created a shared dream and on Boxing Day, 2012, we announced it officially to our now former coach.
One year later this picture was taken.
I had settled into bed for the night but had tuned into our club's security cameras to make sure everything was fine at the club.  Ended up catching Snickers with Pyen Chi, giving her a goodnight kiss and hug before he came home.
