As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Another Mini Facelift for Our Change Room

Our locker room in the initial stages of renovations was in super rough shape.
But thanks to a lot of time, effort (and money), we were able to clean it up.
We've yet to change the lockers still; it's a $1000+ project we just don't have as a top priority right now but we did build two single change rooms, added some shelves, and added a slash of colour.  We also added a table and kept many of the original chairs from the hair salon.
Do you see what else we added?
Today we added a little vanity table for our Hulkies to use, thanks to a friend who gave it up for free, and a basket with skin lotions for all to share.  The female Hulkies have it pretty good here in that the girls' shower room is equipped with not only shampoo and conditioners like the guys' group shower room but it also has various skin washes, lotions, an array of sample size skin products, and even maxi pads and perfume.  I figured it was only fair to extend this sweet treatment to the guys.
