As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Off to Seoul for OUR Valentine's Day

Got dolled up today, which really meant it was the one day this week I actually put effort towards my looks.  I wore a fancy, over-the-top girly shirt and even did my make-up.
Jumped in the jeep with Snickers and we headed off to Seoul.
Snickers is notorious for finding these kicka$$ spots around Korea that are pure gems.
Today he took me to this amazing area in Seoul that is all about it's antiques.  It was like a block long of antique garage sales.  They even had a massive building all about it too.
They had stuff there that was well beyond my time and numerous things that reminded me of fond memories of my personal childhood.
Some things were clearly too cool and I couldn't help but giggle at the fact that the next generation will have no idea what they are.
If my Papa Bere, my dad, ever comes to Korea, this is going to definitely be one of the first stops I'll take him.  I'm sure he could stay here for hours and hours and be highly interested in it all.
I must admit this part was extra cool to me.  They had a tank door.  I don't know what you'd do with a random tank door but it was super interesting....I'd take it!  And I'd take those massive lights too!
Found some old school toy guns that have no orange tip like nowadays toy guns.  Me picking up to pose with it resulted in not just Snickers taking my picture.  And check out the next picture.  Do you see what I see?!  It looks like a random girl's head in a bag... strange!
Out of all the strange and interesting things I saw today, this was the one thing I really wanted to get if I had the extra money.  We've been talking about wanting and needing to get a mailbox for Hulk's because the mailman just shoves it in between the doors, often causing it to get damaged.
This post box that looks like it's straight out of the TV show M.A.S.H. would be awesome.
Snickers found many things he was interested in but we had no money to indulge in all that we liked so I limited him to only one thing and to a certain dollar value.  He bought binoculars.
I've never been happier to have no extra cash than today because what Snickers really wanted to buy was a fierce looking bow and arrow.  I have no idea where he'd even use such a thing but I don't know what to know.  I won't need to know either because it was too expensive.
After the excitement and interest of the antique sale, we then made our way back to the old Korean village where we had ventured too
