As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

The Last of Sparring Days in Our Original Ring

This Friday marked our very last Sparring Dy in our original amateur-made, oh-so-ghetto-but-oh-so-loved boxing ring and so I told our boxers to go wild and feel free to jump around and kill the ring.
Snickers was the first to jump in, all eager to give tonight's opponents a real challenge.

One-by-one, the fighters stepped into the ring to try to take on and take down our champ.
Sparring lasted from 7pm till about 8:40pm, with no one successfully able to beat the champ.  Some got into some good clean shots but don't fool yourself, he's not called the Korean Hulk for nothing nor was he unsuccessful with defending his title.
Look out Korea, Snickers is gearing up to step back into the ring but it's not just for sparring with our Hulkies and it's not just the ring he'll be stepping into!!!
