As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Having Fun with Working Hard

Drop-off #1 of many for our Indiegogo thank you cards and perks.
Today we sent out the first of many thank you cards.
And no sooner did we drop off our thank you cards but a delivery got dropped off at Hulk's -- protein chips!
Had a meeting at the printers today to go over the ringside sponsorship wall we're getting made and all the labels that will go in the ring.
Arirang is the bestest of best, seriously.  After running into a roadblock with the fact with our ring label we wanted to put down, they came up with a great alternate.  Originally we wanted to make a massive sticker of our club symbol and stick it down in the middle of the ring but then we were told it'd get damaged too easily with everyone's shoes.
Arirang's solution, make a massive 2 meter stencil and then spray paint it on.
So that's exactly what they're going to do... very cool.
What's a day of training at Hulk's without some fun?!  Exactly.
Snickers on a skateboard, me playing in the ring with two mini-Hulkies... stranger things have happened here but we always manage to keep silly and get in some fun.
I've been typing out my crossfit class workouts and just the other day I decided to post pictures with each exercise so that on Free Train days, or whenever, members could more easily pick a workout and follow along.
I thought my idea was pretty good but it's was Snickers who came up with the awesome idea of me posing for each exercise and so that's what I have started to do.
