As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Morning Fight and Evening Run

And to think I was sure our four-legged friends wouldn't like the new ring because it's so high for them to jump in.  They couldn't get enough of it, seriously.  Pacquiao is particularly fond of it because when I walk pass it he can jump up and pretty much be at eye level of me, making it easy for him to try to steal my kisses.
Does this count as our first sparring match in our new boxing ring?!  What do you think Balboa?
Weekends are for long runs but with yesterday being preoccupied with the construction of our new ring, we were left with today for our weekly long run.  Headed out in the evening with Rocket and two very handsome chauffeurs -- Snickers and the Shark, aka the Bodyguard.
I tell ya, if Cinderella wasn't proof enough that a pair of shoes can change your life then perhaps these two new pairs of Adidas is solid proof.  Rocket and I bought sported our new runners for tonight's run.  First long run in them and they did excellent.  No blisters and no cramped toes, only extra comfort for an extra long run with extra fast pacing.
Ran a total of 28kms... ya baby!!!
We added 3kms to last week's long run and shaved a second off our pacing.  It's not much but we'll take it as a sign of improvement and success.
