As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

One Jam-Packed, Action-Packed, People-Packed Perfect Saturday

Headed out of town to the city of Jun Jo to my friend Danbi's live fight.  She may be small but boy is she fierce, so fierce in fact that she's a champion!  And so is this gorgeous lady in the next picture.  When the IFBA President isn't able to come out to Korea, she sends former flyweight champion Kim Messer.
Today Danbi was fighting a boxer from Thailand.
 Fifth round KO... sweet!!!
Attending live fights means always running into past opponents and various champion boxers.
Running into Korea's champion Kim Jung Bum is always a funny situation.  He's a good friend of Snickers but he's always been such a supporter and fun fan of mine.  Here he is sneaking in a close hug for the picture.  It was only after the fact that Snickers even realized this happened...hahaha.
It was a double feature today with Korea's female champion boxers fighting.
Woo Ji Hye also fought a Thai boxer.
Her opponent was clearly not a match for her but I'm not going to comment on that here.
Ji Hye is an amazing fighter, probably one of my favourite Korean female boxers in terms of her skills and style.  Today she scored another KO for her record.
After the live fights, hugs from champions and pictures with friends and fans, our Hulk family headed to a local traditional village.
It was packed to the max with people, busting with street vendors and tons of food, oozing with tons to see,... and it was flat out awesome!!!
This hot spot in Jun Jo definitely put this city on the map for me as a place I'll have to revisit!!!
Perhaps next time I'll come hungry because the food sellers at this place were awesome and so finger licking good.  Yes... definitely have to come here next time with an empty stomach!
Later in the evening I checked out my running partner Rocket's band Moose Tracks perform at a local bar.
Great tunes and good times.
And last but not least, I headed out to the Notorious Hottie's birthday downtown.  He's one of my Hulkies/friends and tonight he was one of the "less dressed" in attendance... hahaha.  Here I am scoring a big birthday kiss from the birthday boy, nice.
