As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Feeling like the Youngest of Old... Friday, June 26

People have to stop buying houses here, seriously. Headed out with my buddy Cam and stopped by his friend's house to pick them up.

She's 23 and she has a house with her boyfriend, woozers.

Jumped in the car with them and headed out to a local bar to meet with more friends and watch one perform.

Two of the girls are in their mid 20's and together they bought a $700,000+ house in Toronto, double woozers.

I'm 34 and I rent. Writing that makes me feel so not grown up but so old in age.

Sure I may have created the biggest professional boxing club in Korea but I don't have the big house with the white picket fence. I don't have the kids, I have dogs, and my mommy-mobile is a truck and a scooter.

This has been the underlying theme of this vacation, just how NOT grown up I have become. I feel like the Benjamin Button of Korea -- everyone keeps on getting older and more grown up yet I keep on getting younger and more immature. Not so cool when you stop and see how disconnected it makes you from those you grew up with.

Tonight the bar we headed to was definitely a cougar bar and I was one of the younger ones there. I found that fact as amusing as I did interesting. I find that the older I get the more I really don't care what people think of me and the more comfortable I get with just doing my own thing on my own terms. Well, you could definitely see this similar mentality reflected and in practice with those on the dance floor. They were older and many of them looked like they were stuck in a time warp but they just didn't care. They were there to have fun and that's exactly what they were doing. Props to them for that.
