As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Getting in Some Canadian Goodness Before I Leave

I've always loved the lake. I've had an overdose of lake visits since I've arrived to Canada but this is one of my favourite lake spots. Today I visited it one last time before I got on the plane.
Had another long-time-no-see friend from my elementary school days visit me.
He used to be so small and so very cute. Well, he's still super cute with his gorgeous eyes and sweet smile but now he's massive. And his voice... wow, his voice!!! I love it!
Having to say goodbye to my father was hard. I really had anticipated sitting him down and pouring my heart to him about things I had waited so long to tell him, things I didn't want to put in an email, but I didn't. Instead, I said a sweet goodbye and just left.
Waiting for my flight at the Toronto Pearson Airport, scheduled to leave at 1:45am.
Two flights to get back home -- Canada to Hong Kong, then Hong Kong to Korea.
Snapped a shot of my pretty sitting buddies.
I think this was the only smile I sported the entire flight back.
Made a pretty pathetic playlist, only one song, and for every second time I heard it play I totally got teary-eyed and sentimental. I already miss my family and my friends so incredibly much.
I don't think I've ever felt so homesick for Canada like I did on this flight, seriously.
