As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Packed Day of Packing and Goodbyes

This was my dilemma today, packing.
I should note that the biggest suitcase is filled with ONLY training gear and clothes!!! The second, smaller suitcase has "regular" clothes, which in my world means never-really-worn clothes
Lots of friend and Hulkies filed into the club today to pay me one last visit, to wish me well, to convince me not to go, and to get in one last hug.
I love this Mini Hulkie -- nickname Apple.  She got me all teary-eyed, that is after the fourth time she left the club and then came back for another goodbye.
I'm going to miss these ladies so much -- my fierce female Hulkies.
With it being Leg Day in Crossfit at Hulk's, I saved my last workout for some hardcore Hulkies to accompany me later on in the evening.  I think we'll all be waking up sore not tomorrow morning but later on tonight!
It was a long day of goodbyes and it was filled with many hugs, high fives, gifts, warm wishes, super sweet letters, and even some tears.  One Hulkie in particular left me standing at the front door in tears after she had so earnestly written me a beautiful thank you card in English.  We both cried actually.
Coach Ogar, the new coach we've hired, joined us tonight for work and training so we took him out to an amazing restuarant after work.  We treated him to one of my favourite meals -- steak and raw beef -- where the chef comes out and cooks it at your table because he prides his cooking like it's an art and wants us to enjoy it in its finest.
A late night dinner was followed by Snickers and Coach Ogar talking about work and me meeting up with a good friend at Dolce.  I had promised the Dolce manager I'd come say goodbye and I really wanted to see my super sweet friend one more time.
