As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Enjoying My Last Day of No Schedule Days... Friday, August 7

It is my official last weekday of leisurely lounging, not that I've been really lounging since I arrived though.  Next week I start "trying on" the various boxing clubs on for size so it's going to be go, go, goooooo!!!

Got a cellphone today -- a ghetto fabulous phone with a Torontonian number.  My phone is so ghetto that when I commented to the sales man about it not having a camera he responded by saying "well at least it has colour".  Yes, that is true.  It could be more ghetto though I didn't think that possible.  So now I carry my Korean phone on me for when there is wifi available and have my Canadian phone on me for text messages and calls.  Here'a to hoping more people text than call because I've never been one to like talking on the phone.

So today I got a cellphone and then, when I went to Starbucks to play around with it, a man asked to join me at my table and he helped me out a bit with it.  Only in Canada would you go for coffee by yourself and end up enjoying it with a now new friend.  God I love Canadians!

Kicked my own butt at training today and then headed back downtown to meet my boy J and his cousin for a free concert at Nathan Phillip Square.  Toronto is absolutely fabulous for free concerts, an array of events and random things going on in the city.  All you need is a way around the city, like a bus pass, and you are totally connected to so many things to do.  Reason 101 why Toronto kicks my hometown of Whitby's butt...seriously.
