As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Sunday Church and a Walk in the Park... Sunday, August 23

Invited my dad to join me for church today so together we headed downtown for the morning 11am service.  I go to a smaller church that is lined with pews and where the people are all super sweet to me.  When we walked in I saw the usual ushers -- two short older men who always reach out for my hand and accompany our hand shake with a sweet smile and some warm words.  I brought my dad to the place that I now have kind of labelled my usual seat -- a pew close to the front.  The couple that always sits behind me greeted us but today the wife was home sick so it was just the husband there to say hi to me.

After the service I talked with some of the girls while my dad talked to the ushers.  We then left the church and headed to Swiss for lunch.  My dad liked my church and I know he is proud I had found such a warm and sincere church.

Lunch out at the Swiss was followed by a walk in High Park.  I had always regarded High Park as being pretty but the years I've spent apart from it have only heightened just how pretty it is in my eyes now.  So many things mean so much more to me now and places like High Park and the lake are so stunningly beautiful now.  It's almost as if I am seeing them for the first time or with new eyes.

I parted with my dad around 4pm when he dropped me off at System for training.  The plan was to do some boxing and weight training but I ended up running into the kid I helped train in boxing yesterday and then I met a new boxer.  There is sometimes one other random boxer training on the other sandbag in the spinning room where I train and I have pretty much met all other boxers who train at System but tonight there was a new face.  Ended up getting into a lengthy discussion with him so I extended my boxing and didn't hit the weights.

Today -- church, lunch, walk in High Park, boxing, food prep, and meeting with my agent.
