As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Delish but Drizzly Sunday Afternoon

My church hosted a Corn Roast Party today.
They definitely went all out with it too, hiring a corn roasting company that roasts the corn and supplies you with a billion and one different spices and spice combos to flavour your corn with.  Who knew corn could be so complex?!  Holy delish...no pun intended.
It was drizzling outside and cold so me and some of the gals headed back into the church to nibble away on our corn and get in some solid chat time.
In the evening, after training, I somehow ended up in Little Korea.
Okay, so I took a walk and ended up there.  It feels weird to be surrounded by so much Korean though and, to tell you the truth, I have mixed feelings about it too.
Best authentic Korean restaurant in Little Korea.  One of my former students from Dankook University in Cheonan, South Korea, works here.  I think his parents actually own it.  I was curious to stop by but not curious enough to eat Korean food.  Haven't eaten any Korean food since K-Country.
