As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Friday Coffee with Such a Notorious Champ

Meet up with one of my buddies who has been in the boxing business for a long time and he introduced me to a very notorious boxer today.
George Chuvalo, Canadian five time heavy weight champion.
Check out the paws on him, yikes!  I told him snapping a picture with him and his fist so close to my head made me super nervous.  Amazing boxer, super sweet man!!!
I watched as they walked away and waited for the light to change and had to giggle at how they blended in so nicely with the crowd.  If only those around him knew who he was, many still do, of course, but back in the day he was such a big name.  Ranked #4 for toughest chins and he fought Ali twice... sent him to the hospital with kidney damage!
Look at what I scored... an official key to my boxing club!!!
Monday is a holiday, the club is closed, but guess who'll be training while others aren't.
