As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

From Frowns to Smiles

This is me, apparently... me with about a zillion billion layers of make-up on.
I don't know whether to be insulted or flattered -- insulted that they thought I needed so much make-up for today's photo shoot or flattered that they seemed to have fun dolling me up and making me look like some kind of boxing vixen.
I was in a pretty rotten mood when I left the photo shoot but when I arrived at System I was greeted by this guy, a friend of mine whom I often box with in the spinning room.  Good people, that's all you need in your life to really keep you positive.
Notice his t-shirt?!  The Hulk, nice.
And speaking of good people, let me introduce you to one of my girl friends from church.  Tonight we met up and I had complained about being so cold so she pulled out "the pimp" coat, nice.  And yes, it was very warm.  With my corn rows on they all joked that it made me look like a ghetto gangsta boxer... hahaha.
