As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Minus One Coach, Plus Some Classes... Wednesday, September 2

Picked up another two Boxfit classes at PB Boxfit on account that Coach Brown fired one of our team members.  "Fired" doesn't really capture what happened, police were called in and as I wrapped my hands for today's early morning boxing training I listened as Coach Brown gave the police a full report of what went down, all the bad, the ugly and the nirry gritty details.  I'll leave them for the police report as oppose to sharing them here because it's really none of my business.  I just really feel bad for Coach Paul and can totally relate.  With me having opened my own business, my own boxing club, I can most definitely feel his disappointment. "It can only get better from here", I told as a part of me trying to cheer him up and it's true.

I now currently coach 4 Boxfit Intro classes and have a potential with a possible personal training client.  Personal training is where the money is at, not in the classes, but the classes are where you can spark the interest and score the potential clients.   I might end up getting a few PT clients on account of us now being minus a coach and his PT clients wanting to continue their training.

I was supposed to get a key to the club today but due to the sudden shock in legal events with this one now former coach, Coach Brown isn't sure if he has to change all the locks or not.

Scored a Paul Brown Boxfit sweater today, it looks hype.  Coach Paul says we're to wear it when we all go out together, so to look like a real crew, a kind of gang.  I think it'd look really sharp and I love the saying on the back -- "focus fit fighter".
