As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

From Grubby and Sweaty to Expensive and Polished

I taught my Saturday afternoon Boxfit class today and it the class was buzzing with beginners and lots and lots of positive contagious energy.
After my class is the Mauy Thai class.  I stuck around to watch them train.

I also got to check out my girl Kicka$$ train in the ring.
Coaching was followed by early evening training.
I took this picture right as I left System.  It's happiness to me and standing there for the subway it was the happiest moment for me today, standing in the city I love after an intense workout, wearing the sweater from the club I love, eating a meal I love, and carrying with me a pumpkin pie for my family that I love.
There's a lot of love in this picture, more than you know or that I've commented on.
Later in the evening I headed out to meet a friend at a place that was well out of my league in terms of lush richness.  With it's sparkly chandeliers, bold pieces of Asian art, and beautiful high ceilings, it was absolutely stunning.  Note that's a fire place, beautiful.
I sat there and listened to some live music song by a beautiful singer who took requests.
Sade?!  Yes, please... thank you!
