As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

My Favourite Month Begins!!!... Thursday, October 1

Welcome to October, my favourite month in the entire year.  It's the month of fall weather with its changing of leaves and crisp air.  The month of fall fashion with its high leather boots and big cozy sweaters.  My absolute favourite holiday occurs this month -- Thanksgiving.  And it's the month I leave this place.

I'm moving... just not too sure where yet.

I told my landlady yesterday and today I went apartment hunting.  I saw the good, the bad and the ugly.  I saw an apartment where I as a 3 year old woman am not allowed to have visitors and by visitors I mean not only no over night visitors but also random drop-in friends during the day.  Then there was the apartment where the landlady was super sensitive to smells and sounds so much so that no perfumes were allowed, everything had to come in unscented, like detergents, and she walked around with earphones on the help drown out the extra sounds.  The house was ran similar to thst of a family's home -- residents had chores.  As strange as it seemed the landlady was brilliant and my interest in her was what kept me there longer than I would have originally stayed.  She's a university professor at U of T and is also an author, having published about 6 books.  And then there was the landlady who basically wanted to treat me like a secret resident in her house.  I'd live in her basement with a student and her nanny.  We could come up and use the kitchen but were weren't to eat in it or spend more than 15-20mins at a time in it.  Oh, and I wasn't allowed to use the front door so sitting on the front porch wasn't allowed.  I was to use the back door.
Is this what living in Toronto has become? A bunch of odd demands, weird rules, massive restrictions, and stingy landladies and landlords?!

Today I went to visit one more apartment, a place right by my boxing club.  The current tenant is leasing it out while she stays at her parents house in another country so I'd be living there with her current roommate.  I'm banking on taking this place if it's offered to me.
