As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

On an Energy High for a Mellow Monday... Monday, October 24

No boxing on account I was in Whitby today.  I met up with one friend for breakfast and then another for coffee.  By the time I returned to Toronto to coach my boxfit class I was high as a kite thanks to the caffeine overdose supplied by my Whitbtonian ladies and my dad, Papa Bere.

First morning off boxing in God knows when...yippie.

First afternoon class with three cups of coffee in me...YIPPIE.

My boxing class was fantastic -- the energy of my boxers was positive and high and they trained hard.  I had some new faces, and I even had a former member's friend come looking specifically for me, very cool.  I suppose the fact that I practically flew into class, riding my caffeine high into the club, helped to peek the energy levels of my boxers.  Regardless, the energy was like fire today -- contagious and plentiful.  I always feel good after coaching a class.  Energy is contagious, both good energy and bad energy.

I ended up having a special visitor wait around the club for me today -- my friends know him as BCM.  So after I finished coaching he and I headed off to the grocery story to get some grapes and water melon for an evening of chillaxin' time.  And that's how I pretty much spent my evening, kicking up my heels, eating some of Mother Nature's finest "candy", and giggling the evening away with one of my favourite Torontonians.
