As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Beautiful Start to a Packed Day of Training

I get to sleep in on Wednesdays and Fridays because I spar on those days and my sparring partner doesn't show up until about 7:45am.  This means I get to watch the sunrise as I eat my breakfast.
This is my view from my family room... it was awesome today!!!
Showed up for sparring... and so did Queen Spar, my sparring partner.
Can you spot her?!
Today I had the awesome opportunity to add another fierce female fighter to my training -- Tony the Tiger.  She trains out of Cabbagetown Boxing with Queen Spar and today the two of them came to spar.
We did a round robin with sparring so that we all got in 11 solid rounds of sparring.
I may have brought the heat but these fighters brought some mean punches and an amazing Friday morning sparring session of challenges.  Thank you ladies!!!
Met up with one of my long time friends from public school.  She's such a sweetie and so incredibly supportive of me.  It's awesome that after all these years and all the miles that distanced us for so long that we still click like we do.  She knew I needed to come back to Toronto even before I did, that's a real friend for you!
Attended my first Friday Night Fight Club and was initiated into it... very awesome!
After Fight Club it was off to System for more training.
Ran into two of my favourite trainers there.  They were working hard but still all smiles.
These guys are too funny, seriously.
Not a day goes by at training when they don't crack me up!
The fact that they're both buff and beautiful is an added perk.  Awesome guys and chatting with them was a nice way to end a very long day of excessive training.
