As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Midweek Overdose of Awesomeness

Sporting some funny fighter faces before sparring.
We're all jokes and laughs but boy do we train hard!
Taking a pre and post sparring picture has definitely become a "tradition" we have as is being selective as to what shirt we wear for sparring.
A solid 8 rounds of sparring done today.
Met up with one of my feisty fighter female friends at her condo in Bloor West Village and she treated me to a super delish dish of fish, salad and yummy sweet potato fries.
It's been a long time since I've seen her so we had a lot of catching up to do and this is how we did it.  We broke out the manufactured peanut butter and sat around eating a spoonful or two each while we gabbed away and caught up.
Two random pictures taken of me today -- me nursing a large coffee, the fuel of champions, and me struggling with what awaited me in my apartment's mailbox... yikes.
