Headed with my energetic, beautiful crew of boxers to the Cabbagetown 4km Fun Run.
Leading some of his boxers was Johnny, the head coach from Cabbagetown Boxing.
I tried my best to encourage my crew and to encourage Cabbagetown's crew too, after all we were all there trying to raise money for a good cause (Cabbagetown Community Centre) and have fun doing so. Mission completed.
See these two runners, one was running his first ever race and the other is a young boxer who has really fallen in love with boxing. Both inspired me today with their results.
Two in my crew had never ran a race today, one of which was Ginger Spice, so the epic moment of the day was watching her cross the finish line.
I anticipated a crew of 10 but only a crew of 7 actually ran.
Regardless, we may have been a small crew but we were a fierce one!!!
Two of my crew that ended up not running showed up at the finish line to congrats us all.
Queen Spar scored 1st place among the women and I scored 2nd.
This wasn't a race for me though. I was there to encourage and cheer on my crew.
Nonetheless, you know me, I get competitive. I told Queen Spar next year it'd be a real race, her vs me, so I joked and told her she better start training -- "You have a year to train!"
All us runners... fabulous!!!
