As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Boxing, Soccer and Running on Today's Schedule

Sparred today with two opponents but it's Coach Perez that always exhausts me in the ring whenever we spar together.  He makes it look so easy, so effortless.
One of the trainers who trains a few personal clients agreed to help me do my PTSD Challenge video so that was super sweet of him and his fighter.
Day 7 of 22, PTSD Pushup Challenge video.
After boxing, I raced back home to shower and change, and then I headed downtown to watch the big soccer game.
Poland vs Portugal and for a while there I was the only one cheering for the Poles.
I didn't get in my morning run but did manage to get out for a late night run.
The perk of running on the Don Valley Trail so late is that no one is around.  Turns out it's because you can't see squat!!!  This was by far the brightest part of the path but beyond this right here, it was just a matter of putting one foot in front of the other and hoping there's path under it for you to continue on.
A late night baseball game lit up the field I ran through and made
for quite the beautiful homecoming.
