As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Ditched the Plans and Got in a Solid Sunday

Woke up feeling up to nothing except staying in this perfect moment with Balboa.
So that's exactly what I did.
My plan today was either go for a morning run and attend a friend's birthday boat cruise or go to church and then head out to Oshawa for an amateur boxing tournament.
Instead I met up with a good friend for coffee in the park and took Balboa Button with us.
A four shot cap in the park, it was exactly what I needed.
It wasn't all pleasure though.  My buddy has the perfect mix of brains and optimism for me to bounce some pretty big business ideas around with that I've been working on.
Balboa was all pleasure though.
He loved the park.
And he apparently loved everyone in the park too.
They loved him too, that is until he tried to pee on someone's picnic cooler.
Not cool Balboa, not cool at all.
Public spooning in the park with my four legged little man.  This is the life.
A trip to the park was followed by a trip down to the lake; another hotspot of ours.
Then, after all was said and done and we had trekked all around Toronto to various places, Balboa Button and I returned to where we had started -- lounging at home.
Here he is trying to stay up to watch a movie with me but totally guilty of passing out.
