As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Korea Bound But for an Additional Reason... Wednesday, November 2

I've changed my visit to Korea from December to February.

I changed it for several reasons....

I changed it because come February I may or may less be homeless so at least this buys me time.
I changed it because it means not having to pay rent here if it's in between rental agreements.
I changed it because I don't really like Christmas anymore so why would I want to spend it in Korea?!
I changed it because it doesn't fit in with my personal training course timeline (the course and exam).
I changed it because I'm interested in visiting the Philippines in March so this saves a ton on the ticket.
I changed it because I won't be ready financially to take a chunk of time off work.

But the main reason I changed it is because I'll be taking on a new coach and he'll need time to set up a fight for me.  We're leaning towards a fight in February, a fight in Korea.  A fight in Korea means I'll be able to get there, do what I have to do with my company and Snickers, gather my stuff up, train, and then score some fight money to help cover the money I won't be making at the job back in Canada I'll be putting on hold.  I'll be able to complete my personal training course before I head over, figure out what I'm doing in terms of my living situation in Canada, a flight to the Philippines is just a three hour commute and I'll avoid having to surrender another holiday to Korea.

Korea, here I come... but not just yet.
