As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Monday, January 30

My Second Dream is moving along nicely.  I've got a big chunk of my business proposal written up, my research questionnaire has been typed up, printed out, and I've started to hand it out to select individuals, and today I contacted a real estate agent.

There are six different buildings I'm looking at but none of them really fit the "dream building" I've envisioned in my head.

My dream building in my head isn't a two-story place or even a loft or massive old warehouse.  No.  It's either a massive old church with a high steeple or an old brick house with chunky wooden front doors. I'd love to buy or lease the Keg Mansion and situate my Second Dream there but I know rezoning it would be a killer.  I envision it to be this unconventional building that draws attention to itself without it even doing anything beyond sitting there on the lot, in all it's glory and for all to see.

I went to see one of the six buildings tonight, at exactly 1:03am.  It's located just down the street from one of my main competitors, that is if you'd even consider them my competitor. They are and they aren't, but that's a whole other story and I'm not getting into that here.

Anyways....

I'm meeting with a real estate agent on Thursday, to check out a couple of the buildings I'm interested in but I'm thinking this is going to go down more like how it went in Korea when we were looking for a place for Hulk's.  We simply drove around and checked out buildings.  There won't be any rooftop jumping or "letting ourselves into" any of the buildings, Canada is definitely more strict and rule-abiding, but surfing the web for real estate seems like a slow process for finding that "sweet spot".

Hey Jenn,
Thanks lady. It's still very much in the beginning stages but it's getting there. It definitely felt real having seen those buildings!!!
