As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

High in the Sky

I was finally up in the air, done with all the paperwork drama, and through security check but still not really able to fully relax.  Balboa was stored in the belly of the plane and I wished I had him under my seat.
I didn't really eat well, worrying about Balboa, but I did manage to get in one solid meal.
Perhaps their best meal served -- breakfast.
Ya, that's right.  Keep on flying over Korea and don't stop!
At the airport in Taipei the stress resurfaced and so I watched out the window, hoping to grab a glimpse of my beautiful little boy, Balboa, out there being loaded into the plane.
I actually did end up spotting him.  See that line of white trailers waiting to be loaded up, well, the first one had an animal picture on it.  That's where any of the live animals boarding the plane were kept.  Turns out it was just Balboa and another dog on my plane.
I then watched as he got personally loaded and escorted up the setup temp escalator.
